Stavros Niarchos Foundation Grants

The Stavros Niarchos Foundation has awarded a $1.3 million grant to Columbia Journalism School which will allow 54 journalists from Greece to participate one of three intensive summer journalism courses offered at Columbia University in New York over the next three years, including for the 2017 summer Lede Program for Data Journalism. The scholarship will cover expenses associated with the programs: tuition, airfare, local transportation, as well as room and board and a daily stipend.

Applications for the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Scholarship for the Lede Program for Data Journalism are now open. Applications will be accepted until March 1. If you are applying for the scholarship, please check the box labeled “I am applying for the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Scholarship” in your admissions application. Please note this box is on the admissions application, not on the scholarship aid application.

Additionally, Stavros Niarchos Foundation Scholarship applicants will not be charged the $50 application fee until you are admitted into the program.

Participants who are admitted and are awarded a scholarship will have their resume and a short bio shared with the funders of those awards.
